Sooo, it works like this:
You have this quest The Gatherer of Souls (first screenshot) it's after killing Retooth (bat boss) and before entering Pertz chamber. You need to get 3 souls. The problem is you can't pick them up (second screenshot).
It says that you both do not have quest for this item and that your inventory is full. That bug makes you unable to progress further and finish dungeon.
- My eq was empty (third screenshot) and I opened personal shop just to mark that moment on system chat to avoid any misunderstandings - there is space in inventory.
- Temporary inventory was also empty - I double checked, logout before enering eod, did not interact with my eq at all.
As for the time of the occurence:
today: happened to me all the time I entered (2x), happened to my friend all the time he entered (1x), happened to me and that friend when we were playing together (1x)
before: last time I played EoD was about a month ago and everything was fine then, no complaints from other people as far as I know, they linked Sealed Merg rings on shout every so often
Solution suggestion:
Well, I'd bet on multiple quest items dropping (check screenshot 2 , quest bar), I'm not sure when did you change these amounts but before that I am sure it worked normally. It may be that gaining more than one quest items corrupts memory reserved for next quest. Or there might be a cap for total quest items you can get.
