Not a bug Change Appearance - Weapon

I have two blade with the same Material but the appearance are different when applied. Top is a relic and the other one below is a mithril blade. I was wondering what happened. I like the appearance on the relic but I'm worried that i'll be getting the appearance on the second one when I reapply the same material on the relic after it expires on 11-20-2016.

Are both of your items +15?

No they are not. Only the relic is +15. Does that imply that the appearance changes if the weapon is upgraded to +15? Like pets changing appearance at level 10.

Yes. Soul blade +15 are 2 blades opposite sided like your first image. If it's not +15, is just a normal blade. This is not a bug
