Client error

I downloaded everything last night, got it all up to date and looking beautiful. I was actually able to play for 1 hour or so before sleeping. Lovely server. Anyway, when I tried to open the Launcher today, it said that I needed jre8 to run. I know I downloaded and installed jre8 because that was the first tab to hit in the downloads section. What could be the problem?

Please open your task manager and see if JRE8 is running in the background. It is a must:

If you can't find that one as you can see in the image, I recommend to re-download and re-install JRE8.
