If you're experiencing crashes or performance issues with the CabalWorld client, our DirectX 9 Wrapper Tool is here to help.
We understand that not everyone is familiar with technical details, so we've made it as easy as possible to improve your gaming experience.
Here’s a simple guide on how to use the tool:
- Launch the Tool: Open the DirectX Wrapper application from your game folder.
- Choose a Wrapper: You’ll see a list of available DirectX 9 wrappers. Here’s a quick overview:
- Vulkan Wrapper 2.4: Uses Vulkan API 1.3+ to boost performance and graphics for modern GPUs. Recommended for best performance but needs Vulkan API 1.3.0 minimum.The tool will tell you what Vulkan API you have on your PC.
- dgVoodoo2: Improves compatibility and visuals for older DirectX and Glide games on new systems.
- Aqrit's ddwrapper: A lightweight wrapper that fixes issues and adds windowed mode for older games.
- Vulkan Wrapper 1.10: Supports Vulkan API up to 1.2 for older GPUs, enhancing performance and compatibility.
- dxwrapper 1.1: Translates older DirectX calls to DirectX 12, improving compatibility and performance on newer systems.
- Disable Any Active Wrapper: Removes any active wrappers and runs the game with the default DirectX 9.
- Vulkan Wrapper 2.4: Uses Vulkan API 1.3+ to boost performance and graphics for modern GPUs. Recommended for best performance but needs Vulkan API 1.3.0 minimum.The tool will tell you what Vulkan API you have on your PC.
- Select Your Option: Type the number corresponding to the wrapper you want to use and press Enter.
- Wait for the Tool to Apply Changes: The tool will automatically configure the selected wrapper for you. This may take a few moments.
- Launch CabalWorld: Once the tool has finished applying the wrapper, you can start the CabalWorld client as usual. The selected wrapper should improve performance and resolve some issues. The client might autoclose a few times after a wrapper is applied due to DirectX caching.
Example of usage and before and after:
1.The game loaded using the default directx version (no wrappers)
2. Activated Option One as my pc supports and uses Vulkan API 1.3.280
3.The game loaded using the option 1. Vulkan Wrapper 2.4
or
3. Aqrit's ddwrapper
Important Information:
Our team is actively working on a permanent fix to address memory management issues and prevent crashes. In the meantime, this tool has been updated and tested on each wrapper to ensure better stability and performance.
