Fixed Knock back/down resist bug

Hi all!

A few times i experienced a bug with the knock back and down skills, and today i tested it. U still can be knock backed or downed by skills even if u have more resist than the skill's % to CC you.
My example: I have a bringer title, all of the resist runes and a 30% resist potion = 82% down, 87% knock back resist.

For test Veriesto helped me, whos an FA and all of his skills he used(lances, cs) have a 40-50% knock back or down rate. He also used Thrusting arrow spell, which gives 30% more knock back, so overall 70-80%.

As far as i know 80% < 82%, and here are the screenshots to prove it (as u can see potion already ticking so i activated it earlier). Or maybe im missing some kind of game mechanic thing, but i think if a skill has 80% knock back, and i have 87% knock back resist, the skill shouldnt be able to knock me back.


Long story short: One or more of these are bugged:
- Holy Water of Resistance
- Bringer Title
- Knock back/down runes

i tried in TG and yeah knock back is the same with pots or without pots so something might be bugged
 
This will be reviewed pretty sure of that, but the admins are offline right now so have patience please, thank you for the report ;)
 
Interesting topic,you're indeed missing game mechanics well misinterpreting the mechanics to be correct : 82% down resist simply means you cut your opponents down % of -82% so if your opponent have a +80% down value,against you (with that resist) he will have ~15% down (his original down % - your 82% resist) same goes for the knockback and all the other resists.

Side note : if you still think there's indeed a bug flawless pot is the best way to sort it out,get downed/backed while using that and boom bug spotted ;)
 
Interesting what u were mentioning so i just tested it.
Bought a magic arrow spell for FA, it doesnt have any form of CC (down/knock back/stun) and tried it on NF light Bearer since it has a lot of hp without the thrusting arrow buff (30% kb). Considering u said that if i cut down the 82% resist, the opponent still would have like 15% to knock me back, it means roughly the base down/knock back value is between 10-20%. Maybe im super unlucky or idk, but used like 50x times the skill and the mob never ever got downed or knock backed.

Maybe u have right about those base values, but not on THIS server (dont take this as a heckling, just trying to prove my right, nothing personal).
 
Well mobs don't have any resists (tho this is as well a controversial topic,some says they do have some but i doubt that expecially here on ep8) so your down/knock works normally (you have all the % shown inside the character menu).
Now on mobs things get tricky since there isn't an animation showing your down "succeeded" (just like there isn't a kb animation on characters) so it's easier/better to test down on players and kb on mobs.On your example a magic arrow vs the bear,since the bear got 0% resists you should be able to down/kback it although if you tried w/o thrusting arrow,potions etc your down/kback values are those of the runes so 7% for both aka 7 out of 100 hits will down/knock the bear (statistically speaking).Also no there isn't any base value for down/kback (w/o anything and w/o couting skills values you have 0% of both)

Example:
I have 50% knock-back so it means i have 50% chance to make u knockback
You have 82% resist knockback---> it means u have 82% resist knockback, however, still have 18% there, u still got knockback if you in 18% chance
Like upgrade, 99% success rate but still fail xD
Like i have 75% RCR but why i still receive crit dmg xD

if you have 50 rcr and your Opponent has 40 rate, he will still be able to crit on you, rarely ofc but it's possible. that's no bug at all it's just the game mechanics made from estsoft.
only holy water 100% and immunity of WA/BL provides you a real 100% immunity.
on another Server guard title+pot+runes+buff i have 107% and still can be knocked down, so as i said only holy water 100% and instant immunity provides a real 100% immunity :)
 
Its the DEVELOPER of CABAL can only explain that. They have flaws on stating ALL the DEFAULT values on in game. FOR EXAMPLE the MIN DAMAGE STAT. The minimum damage of every class differ but it didn't state in the (c) char info in game. Only FA and WI have 100% min damage.
 
Maverick Min DMG works with sword class, increase the basic dmg ( yellow dmg ) from with % u have to MAX Min DMG. For Magic class, we have Add DMG
 
That true but the pakej at special offer add min DMG on the ring xd
 
This is not a bug.
Its how the cabal formulas how. You may have 82% resist knock back and the enemy 80% knock back but that does not mean you will be 100% not knocked back.
Try to fight with the enemy with knock back resist and without and you will see the difference.
