Then try to redownload the game or repair the client. Maybe ur game is not fully up to date, that could be the only reason that it's possible for him and for u not.

it is charming hairstyle right? the only style you can change the color is the mo-hawk one.. it works 100%

The new hair styles cannot have colour changed due to client limitations, this was already said and repeated a lot till now, we will add a note in the change colour kits so all players see it to avoid this situations.
From the Charming Hair Kit the only one working with the colour change is the Mohican one.
