I also have been running the launcher as administrator... I'm wondering if I need to run it in compatability mode for a version of windows or something..
 
As you can see the launcher tries to redownload config.dll so that means something in your pc is removing our dll.

You could give this a try. Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Advanced > (performance) Settings > Data Execution Pervention > Check bottom one > Click Add... > Navigate Cabalmain.exe > save.

Also, try running windows with basic programs only, go to startup and disable everything that's not Microsoft related restart pc and try again.

Just tried it. It seemed to work for a couple of seconds but I got the error again and it prompted me to close the program afterward as usual...

Could you post a picture of details "view problem details" when the error occurs?

That file is not mandatory to run the client.

I am also in the process of launching client install 1.5 which does not require all this patches.

Is your client autoclosing or what is happening more exactly?

If your client runs fine ignore that error, the file was removed from the updater and soon the updater database will be rebuilded.

The problem here is with the client... it simply doesn't open. It may be something to do with the anti-cheat, because it opens at the first time, but once its time to the client to open, nothing happens. When trying to open subsequent times, the anti-cheat at the botton right corner doesnt show anymore.

Doing it with task manager open, i can see the "cabalmain.exe" opening after i hit play, but thats it, it soon vanishes. I have updated through the launcher and manually, also 'scanned', the problem persists.

edit, both launcher and cabalmain.exe are set to run as administrator

edit 2, welp, after a couple of restarts and one day past... it changed its mind and decided to work
