Yes, if the result was unsuccessful the item will be gone. You have to make sure you have atlease >1 craftman's attempts which is cost 100 eCoins+.

If you have 1 Craftsmans attempts you can only assure that it wont be destroyed it can still fail

If you have 1 craftman attempt it means that if the item was unsuccessful, you wont lose the item. success rate is depends on the stones you used (Arcane golem stones more success rate than minesta) and the luck you have
